Community Needs From A Bended Knee

On Monday, Feb. 28th, Norton Healthcare Engage welcomed Dr. Kelly McCants, Rev. Dr. Kevin Cosby and Rev. Dr. Bruce Williams to the Norton Healthcare Engage Series. Dr. Kelly McCants serves as Norton Healthcare’s executive medical director of advanced heart failure and executive director of Norton Healthcare’s Institute for Health Equity. Dr. McCants was accompanied by Rev. Dr. Kevin Cosby, Sr. Pastor of St. Stephen Church and President of Simmons College of Kentucky, and Rev. Dr. Bruce Williams, Sr. Pastor of Bates Memorial Baptist Church. These trusted faith and community leaders revealed the greatest needs of Louisville’s most disinvested neighborhoods, as shared from residents on a bended knee. Serving as the voice of the community, these speakers provided real-time insight on the problems and barriers West Louisville residents are facing. Thank you for joining us for this important discussion and we hope that you may be inspired to continue doing your part toward achieving health equity.
